Good evening,

Just bought my iFly 700 at OSH and had the chance to test drive it on the way home. One thing that appears to be missing when I search for nearest airports/navaids is bearing/heading information. My cheap handheld Lowrance offers both distance and direction when selecting the "nearest" feature. iFly 700 only offers distance on the list.

I realize you can select an item from the map and get distance and direction. I'd imagine the same should be available on the "nearest" list. Clicking the item from the list brings you to the AFD, and no direction information there, either.

So far, I really like the device. Nice job! Still getting to learn the ropes.

I'd go along with that idea as well. Also, maybe the "nearest" button could be on the opening screen so in case of an emergency, only 1 button would have to be used to get quick info on the closest airport. I picked up my 700 at OSH as well and plan on taking it up in the next day or so to give it a try.

I concur with this. I would also love to see a way to filter out private airports. When I run a search from my home field, only one airport shows up on the first screen that I can actually land at - the rest are private grass strips.

Good ideas...
